Revodna, 1 p.m. — The Central Committee for the Auditing of State and Local Financial and Personnel Records for the Assurance of Accuracy and Completeness (CCASLFPRAAC) today forwarded a request to the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Central Committee of the Congress of Peoples’ Deputies Mladik Vladik for records relating to last fall’s financial crisis.
Jarvik Yugo, chairman of the CCASLFPRAAC, indicated that there is no suspicion of wrongdoing on anyone’s part. “We simply want to ensure that our files are complete, and there are some transactions undertaken by the Central Bank for which we have no record.”
President and Chairman Vladik indicated he would order those files forwarded immediately in the spirit of Soclialist unity.
UPDATE: 1:12 p.m.: The Central Filing Depository for Financial and Personnel Records burst into flames this afternoon. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, although early indications are of an electrical fire caused by renovations on that floor. The electrician in charge has been shot for dereliction of duty. President and Chairman Vladik immediately issued a statement denouncing the fire and lamenting the loss of records.
The fire at the Central Filing Depository for Financial and Personnel Records as seen from the studios of StateTV1.
UPDATE: 1:26 p.m. Jarvik Yugo was tragically killed when he fell down an open elevator shaft. The new chairman of the CCASLFPRAAC, Susa Franjo, has indicated that she has official cancelled her committee’s request for the Central Bank transaction records “as they were most likely destroyed in the fire earlier this afternoon. We thank President and Chairman Vladik for his willingness to coöperate with our committee’s work.”
